Rainy Lake

On Monday the kids and I went to Rainy Lake (North of us lies Salmon Lake which we drive past on the way to Church, then Seeley Lake which is right by the Church, then Lake Inez, then Lake Alba, and then Rainy Lake) with Kelly and two of her kids. Kelly is a girl in my branch who is the same age as me and has four kids. However, she and her family are moving two hours North of here this week so we won't get to hang out again much which is sad. It was a fun afternoon though. The lake is really empty (i.e. no boats and other people swimming) because it is fairly small, compared to the other lakes around here. There was a nearby fire which was getting our of control and so there were helicopters coming and getting water from the lake which the kids were excited about. You could also hear the elk bugling, possibly because of the nearby fire. I'd never heard an elk before. It's a beautiful sound! Anyway, the boys loved being in the lake and the water was perfect! They also get along well with Kelly's kids.
