In Missoula there is a
carousel which is volunteer-built and hand-carved. It took four years to build and more than 100,000 hours of labor, but in 1995 they had a beautiful carousel in Caras park next to the Clark Fork River.
Wikipedia has an article about it. Each pony is so interesting looking and beautifully carved and painted.

While Casey was here, Casey, Thomas, Stephen, Abigail and I went to Missoula to see the carousel. It is fairly cheap to ride and it goes for about 5 minutes. But, it goes VERY fast. Thomas was really frightened by the end and hung onto the pole in front of him for dear life. Stephen liked it a lot, but he had Casey on the horse with him.

We then went to the play area at the park and Thomas and Stephen loved it. It has a medieval feel to it which is fun!

I took a
video of the Carousel to show how fast it is going. See if you can spot my kids.
