3 year old Luke

Here are our little Luke's statistics:

Weight: 32.6 lbs (61st percentile)
Height: 95.88 cm (59th percentile)

So, the weight gap between Luke and Thomas is closing, with Luke catching up to Thomas slowly. Also, it is really surprising to me that Luke is ending up being taller than Thomas. (They were born the same length and remained so for a long time, until recently when Luke started to grow more.) I imagine though he might always be leaner, while Thomas will be stockier.

There are some of the things Luke loves:
  • reading
  • his friend Lilly
  • acting out the story of David and Goliath
  • doing educational games with me
  • anything sweet, like chocolate and ice-cream
  • Dora and Diego
  • riding his bicycle
  • computer games (such as on pbskids.org)
  • pretending to write letters
  • fruit
  • wrestling Thomas
  • firetrucks
  • construction vehicles
  • re-telling scripture stories (like Jonah and the whale and Peter walking on water)
  • going to friend's houses
  • French fries
  • hugging Charlie (even though Charlie doesn't like it)
  • jumping on the couch (even though this is not allowed and he almost always hurts himself)
  • swinging at the park
  • hugging his parents
  • doing little jobs to earn money
  • trying to tell the time
  • talking (A LOT!)
  • wearing hats
  • going to school with Rob
He hates lettuce and will store the chewed-up lettuce in his mouth after a meal until I tell him to spit it in the trash, but otherwise will eat just about anything, although VERY slowly. He is always the last one sitting at the table and usually the dishes are done while he is still slowly chewing away.

Luke is very affectionate and very gentle. He is quick to say sorry if he has done something wrong. He is also very smart and has a terrific memory. We are grateful for him and love him so much!

This evening I took a series of pictures of Luke. Here are some of them:
