3 year old Thomas

This week I took the twins for their three year well check-up. They were nervous that the doctor might hurt them (that is, give them vaccinations), but luckily for them, no vaccinations were given. Here are Thomas' statistics:

Weight: 33.3 lbs (68th percentile)
Height: 93.34 cm (34th percentile)

I was so surprised with the height measurement, I had them do it again but it was right. The doctor said he is on the shorter side now, but that might not always be the case. I wouldn't be surprised if he remains shorter just because my family are fairly short, but we'll see what happens as he grows older. He might shoot up as a teenager or stay at a similar percentile.

Thomas is a fun little boy. He loves to laugh and joke and it makes him happy when others around him are laughing too. Here are some of the things he loves:

• pretending to cook (and wants to actually cook, but it is too dangerous to let him help me at this age)
• reading with his parents or paging through books
• going to the park
• digging in the sandpit
• doing educational games with me
• playing with toy construction vehicles
• puzzles
• computer games
• Curious George
• painting
• hanging out with his friends from the neighborhood
• petting animals
• playing with his little brother Stephen, whom he still calls Simmon
• eating pizza and watching movies
• Diego and Dora
• going to school with Rob
• wrestling Luke
• jumping on the couch (despite this action being prohibited)
• anything to do with pirates
• going to the store with me
• being silly
• French fries

He does not like tortillas and things that are very cold, like ice-cream and popsicles.

Thomas is a wonderful child. He is polite and kind and very protective over Stephen. He loves his family...and we absolutely love him.
