Our first sewing project

So at Christmastime Rob's grandmother gave us an old sewing machine. We both thought this was pretty cool but wondered about getting it back to Utah. Well, we put it in Rob's hand luggage and although it had to be searched by security, we managed (surprisingly) to get it home.

We decided our first sewing project would be a table cloth. So, we went and chose our fabric one Saturday morning, but then we found out that the sewing machine wasn't working. Rob worked for hours trying to get it fixed. Eventually yesterday morning he managed to get it working. We were both really excited.

So we each pinned 2 sides of the cloth and sewed those sides. Now we have a great looking table cloth. We're going to attempt curtains next. But, that will likely take several Saturdays to complete.
