Garnet Ghost Town

Garnet Ghost Town was a thriving town around 1900 with about 1,000 people living there. It was a gold mining town in the Garnet mountains (fairly close to our home), but now no one lives there and it is a tourist attraction. In the town you can walk around and view the buildings on the inside and some of the original items they used to have there. We saw homes, a store, a hotel, a saloon, an outhouse, a wagon repair shop, stables, a jail, and so on. It was very interesting. The kids loved seeing the way people used to live.
View on the way there which is much prettier in reality
