Recently we went with Rachel Averett (from my ward and lives a couple houses away from me) and her two kids to the Jaker's Jack O' Lantern Pumpkin Patch in Springville. It is free, which is a big bonus. At this pumpkin patch they have a few animals (donkeys, large pig, emus, sheep, and a goat), a corn patch (where the children and roll around and play in corn), two hay mazes, and a hay ride.
When we got there the kids all ran to the animals and they watched them and try to pet them. The donkeys were pretty friends and let the boys touch them.
The twins and their friend Taylor ran about the entire time. They were so happy to be there. This is Luke with the Rocky Mountains in the background.
They all loved the maze. I stood on the top of the hay and watched them dart in and out of every little corner in that maze.
They played in the corn patch for quite a while. Stephen loved it especially, but eventually began putting the corn in his mouth. He found a little pumpkin in the corn patch and was quite fascinated by it. The poor boy wasn't quite over his illness and so he wasn't feeling too good. No smiles for the camera that day.
These are the Averett kids: Taylor (just turned 3 years old) and Hannah (14 months old). Hannah is very fond of Thomas. It is so sweet. Both of my boys absolutely love Taylor. He is certainly their most favorite friend.
