New things!

Back in April, Rob and I made an offer on a little house on 300S here in Provo. (Click here for the details.) Well, due to it being a short sale and it being a HUD home and that there were two mortgages on it, it took forever. Then they asked if we could offer our maximum so we increased our offer by a couple thousand. Then there was missing paperwork. Then the lady at the bank was just sitting on it. One thing after another led to it taking absolutely forever for them to approve our offer, but finally we heard from our buyer's agent that our offer will finally be approved on either Friday or Monday and that we are to move forward and communicate this with our lender and get the last things finalized so that we can close in less than 4 weeks. This means that when we close we can move in and the house is ours! It is such a relief because you never know if you're going to be approved until they say yes. We will then have more space and a backyard! It is going to be awesome!

In addition, Rob and I have wanted to get a van because next year we will have 3 children in car seats and that just won't work in the back of our VW Jetta. So we've been keeping our eyes open for a good deal and we finally found one and then in the end even got the lady to knock another $600 off her selling price. So we have a Toyota Sienna, which is a 5-door, 7-seat minivan. The other perk about this is that we have a DVD player in it. It will hopefully be beneficial when we drive out to Maryland again (which we're thinking we might do next June because Rob has army training in Virginia again and we want the family to see the twins and the new baby). So, these things are quite exciting! (I don't have a photo of our van, but this photo here is what it looks like.)

Congrats Nicki!

It is so wonderful that all of this worked out. Let me know if you need help moving, it was hard for us to move with Addi so I am sure you could use some extra hands :)
