Praying Thomas

We had an interesting experience recently. Thomas woke up from his nap in a foul mood. He cried and cried and whined and whined. Nothing I tried could console him and make him happy. After a short while I had this thought that I should ask him if he wanted to pray. So, I did and he said yes. So, we knelt down and I helped him say a short prayer asking Heavenly Father to help him be happy. After he said "Amen," I could immediately detect that his demeanor was different. I asked him how he felt and he said, "Better." I told him that he had prayed and that Heavenly Father was helping him be happy. 

A few days later he woke up from his nap in a very bad mood again. Very soon after he woke up he told me he wanted to pray. I was quite surprised. He then said he would feel better. So, I helped him say a similar prayer to the one we had said a few days previously and again he felt happier afterwards. I love that this little guy is gaining a simple testimony of prayer already.

I asked Thomas to get me a diaper so I could change him and he brought it to me on his head.
