This past year the summer seemed to start really early and it has ended late too. It is basically November and we've only had one week of cold weather with a small amount of snow. That is so out of the ordinary based on my experience of Utah weather over the past four years. I've loved it though because I really dislike the climate here. Everything is intense - very hot summers and then very cold winters. The mildness of spring and the fall are over in about two seconds. (During the spring and the fall the mornings and the nights are cold, but the afternoons and early evenings are always around the perfect temperature (70s Fahrenheit).)
The children all love spending time outside and this time of the year is fun though because the ground is always covered in a lot of leaves.
