Halloween

My boys excited to get some candy!

I've never been Trick or Treating before. This was the first year that the boys were old enough and when they understood that they would be given candy they were so excited.

So Rob and I decided that Luke would be a cow (Rob's choice because he thought it was funny) and Thomas would be a pirate (my choice - I had bought the pirate things at the Dollar store a while back) and Stephen would be a river otter. Rob wanted Stephen to wear this monkey suit we have but it is too big.

When Rob got home we quickly ate dinner, got the boys dressed, gave them their pumpkins (plastic pumpkins for carrying the candy), and off we headed. It took the twins a while to get into saying "Trick or Treat" and then "Thank you!" but after several houses they figured it out.

Rob cracked me up. After a while the twins were saying they were tired and wanted to go home. Rob would then say, "What?!? We need more candy! Let's go!!" It was cool seeing Rob get so excited about Trick or Treating.

We were out for about 3 hours. It was great seeing the neighborhood become so alive. All the lights were on and people were everywhere. It was so much fun. We then headed up to some friends and we hung out at their house for a little while before coming home and finally putting the boys to bed. There the boys watched the Charlie Brown Halloween show with their kids.

Then bright and early this morning at 6am Thomas woke up and began asking for candy and has been asking for it ever since. He was singing like a happy drunk this morning and it was because he knew he had a pumpkin filled with candy.
