This last week I taught Thomas and Luke the sign for "Up!" Yesterday Thomas put his arms up asking me to pick him up. It was amazing to me how quickly they learned that sign. I thought about how useful it will be for them to communicate things to me before they can talk so that I will understand the things they want. Rob and I have decided that we are going to use these 15 signs when talking to them and hopefully they will soon be able to use them when communicating with us. I'm pretty excited about this so we'll see how it goes.
Other things we're doing is playing lots of Classical music. They are mesmerized by it. Sometimes I will just play a CD and other times I will play them a YouTube video. Thomas particularly likes the Snoopy one where Schroeder is playing The Turkish March.
