Rob's bishop

So this afternoon Rob and I went to the Melchizedek Priesthood ordination of a friend of his. As soon as I walked in with Rob, his bishop had a big grin on his face and looked very excited to see me. The young man who was being given the Melchizedek Priesthood had all his family from out of state there - there were a lot of people there!

As everyone quietened down, the bishop who was sitting on the other side of Rob, said to all the people there: "I'd just like to announce the engagement of these two people." He handed Rob a little plastic engagement ring and Rob went red, although laughed nervously. I just laughed so hard, but for some reason was not at all embarrassed. He then went on about his ability as a bishop to get people in his ward married off. Some guy who was sitting on the other side of the room suggested to the two single girls who were sitting by him (probably his daughters) that they should move their records into his ward. Everyone was laughing. He then said how he had been at a wedding and reception this afternoon and how Rob and I should have been there too and we could have just had a double wedding, at no expense to ourselves. I continued to laugh!!! It was really funny.
